As we go through life our brains are constantly interpreting the world around us, trying to ascertain if we are safe, process and make sense of our experiences. Cognitive Distortions, coined by Aaron Beck (1963), is a term used to describe internal mental filters which fuel anxiety and contribute to negative thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about ourselves.
Identifying cognitive distortions weakens their power on our lives; the more we begin to understand our anxiety and how it manifests in our lives, the sooner we can start to feel empowered to overcome it. Our cognitive distortions pack will help you do just that.
