As we go through life our brains are constantly interpreting the world around us, trying to ascertain if we are safe, process and make sense of our experiences. Cognitive Distortions, coined by Aaron Beck (1963), is a term used to describe internal mental filters which fuel anxiety and contribute to negative thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about ourselves.

Identifying cognitive distortions weakens their power on our lives; the more we begin to understand our anxiety and how it manifests in our lives, the sooner we can start to feel empowered to overcome it. Our cognitive distortions pack will help you do just that.

This Cognitive Distortions pack includes:

1) Understanding Cognitive Distortions (or unhelpful thinking styles)
2) Case study
3) Learn eight of the most common unhelpful thinking styles and how they relate to your own life
4) Process unhelpful thinking styles worksheet
5) Different techniques for changing or erasing unhelpful thinking patterns
6) Areas of growth & improvement worksheet

This product comes as UK A4 size, if you require additional sizes please send us a message before or with your order.

Why buy from Therapy Sisters
All our resources are made with love by Chloe and Beth at Therapy Sisters. As registered and regulated Psychotherapists we know how difficult it is to find and access ethical and evidence-based tools or therapy in the public domain. You can be reassured that collectively we have over 20+ years of experience and are trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Art Psychotherapy, Trauma Focussed CBT and EMDR. We are registered professionals, who abide by the Health Care Professionals Councils code of ethics, so you can be sure that what we do is ethical, honest and in the best interest of our clients. We have put many hours of work and experience into curating these resources because we recognised that not everyone can or wants to access traditional therapy. We hope our tools can help you or the young people you support, feeling empowered on your journey to better mental health.
